The Certificate of Completion in Insurance Studies, which is the first of its kind in Arizona and for community colleges, was created in direct response to an industry need to fill current job vacancies and projected employment shortfalls. The program was designed by Rio Salado College in collaboration with Glendale (GCC) and Mesa (MCC) Community Colleges, the Maricopa County Community Colleges District (MCCCD) and 35 insurance professionals from 20 different insurance companies to prepare individuals for entry-level jobs in the growing insurance industry and enhance the skills of current insurance employees.
The program focuses on general knowledge of the insurance industry and touches on property and liability insurance, personal and commercial insurance.
