The Bachelor’s in Insurance Studies can help prepare you for a number of different jobs in the insurance industry including becoming an agent, broker, claims adjuster, field representative, loss control specialist, underwriter or risk manager.

Courses specific to Insurance Studies are offered online. All other courses required for this degree are available online or in a classroom at any Kent State University campus.

A: Yes, because 100 percent online means you can complete the entire degree without ever stepping onto our campuses. Again: all available insurance degrees can be earned fully online but they can also be completed in a combination of online/campus classroom courses at any Kent State University campus.

A: A 2013 study by Regionomics and the Insurance Resource Council anticipates there will be approximately 26,000 jobs available in the Ohio insurance industry between now and 2020. The average annual pay for Ohio insurance jobs is over $64,000.

A: Yes! There are more than $200,000 in scholarship funds available for qualifying students majoring in Insurance Studies.
